Thought by many to be the most beautiful diving and snorkeling in Costa Rica, Isla del Caño is situated in Drake Bay about 2 hours to the south.

For Cano island we offer a full day trip trip. For this day trip we work with a partner dive center further south. To start the trip you will at first leave Quepos and head south for about half hour before boarding your boat at a nearby village. You can arrange this trip with either the transport to the neighboring village included or you can make your own way.

From there you will travel approximately 1 – 1 ½ hours to the island where you will either dive or snorkel 2 different sites as well as have lunch. Oceans Unlimited is the only local tour operator in the Manuel Antonio area, offering this unique trip to what has been described as a mini Cocos Island. Along your way you can spot Pan Tropical Dolphins and Sea Turtles. When you arrive, abundant resident sea life surround you, giant schools of pelagic fish, Barracuda, Trevelly Jacks and Pompano, white tip reef sharks and rays,. Visibility in this area often exceeds 80 feet.

During the trip you will all accompanied by  professional bilingual guides. After checking out the local marine inhabitants we visit the island for a fantastic picnic lunch. Guests are then free to enjoy the unspoiled beach paradise before heading back to the boat and homeward bound.

Why not combine it with your Open water course or Discover Scuba Course and take your first breaths underwater at Isla del Caño.

If you are visiting Costa Rica, this is a trip that should not be missed!
