Become a scuba instructor with the PADI IDC in Costa Rica.
Your adventure into the professional levels continues with the PADI scuba instructor course. Here at Oceans Unlimited you will be working with our Multi Platinum Course Director and expanding your dive knowledge and working on your skills to the professional level. The PADI Divemaster course teaches you professional and leadership level skills. The PADI IDC teaches you how to teach. It looks at the whole PADI system, breaks it down and shows you how to use all resources available to show others how to scuba dive, safely and have fun whilst doing it.
What is involved in the PADI IDC program?
During the PADI scuba instructor program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete a number of inwater workshops and dives. These are in both confined water and open water. You will learn to problem solve with students as well as organize classes and run them safely. In addition to the IDC there will be an EFR instructor course that is run towards the end of the program. This trains you to teach EFR first aid and CPR courses to students.
The program is an intense 2 weeks study and dive course followed by a Instructor Exam run by PADI Head office. On completion of your exam you will then have the opportunity to complete specialty instructor training which is included in our dive packages.
